Eye Of Melian, the symphonic project led by Martijn Westerholt (Delain) and Johanna Kurkela (Auri), move one step closer to the release of their upcoming album “Forest Of Forgetting“ with the new single “Symphonia Arcana,”accompanied by a visually striking music video.
Set for release on February 20, “Forest Of Forgetting“ draws deep inspiration from the worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien, weaving cinematic orchestration with ethereal melodies. “Symphonia Arcana” continues this path, serving as an evocative entry point into the album’s lush, otherworldly soundscape: a song that feels like a gateway into the green gardens of Lórien.
The track showcases the seamless collaboration between Westerholt and Kurkela, further elevated by orchestral arranger Mikko P. Mustonen and backing vocalist and lyricist Robin La Joy. The album also features notable guest appearances, including Patty Gurdy on hurdy-gurdy and Troy Donockley (Nightwish, Auri) on multiple instruments.
A dreamlike music video accompanies the single, presenting Kurkela in an ethereal, almost mythic form that mirrors the song’s mystical atmosphere.
“Forest Of Forgetting“ will be celebrated with a release event in the Netherlands on launch day, followed by extensive activities for Finnish fans in March.
