Mongolian folk metal phenomenon The HU are back with new music, releasing their latest single The Real You alongside an official music video. The track marks the band’s first new release in a while and offers a clear glimpse into the direction of their upcoming third studio album.

Leaning toward a faster and more aggressive sound, “The Real You” blends The HU’s signature throat singing and traditional Mongolian instruments with driving modern metal. Lyrically, the song encourages self-reflection over judgment, drawing inspiration from a Mongolian proverb that urges listeners to focus on their own growth rather than others’ flaws.

According to tovshuur player and throat singer Temka, the single reflects both the band’s roots and a more energetic side of what’s to come, channeling the spirit of their ancestors riding freely across vast landscapes.

The HU has built a strong connection with Finnish audiences in recent years, following acclaimed appearances at Tuska, Ilosaarirock, and sold-out shows in Helsinki and Tampere. While no new Finland dates are currently announced, the band will tour the U.S. next summer alongside Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.
