In the heart of Camden, LondonRaven Records has become more than a vinyl haven: it’s a full-blown metal sanctuary. Specializing in all things heavy, the store also houses its own metal coffee shop and non-alcoholic bar, proving that devotion to metal doesn’t require devotion to hangovers.

Early last year, Concept Cafes Coffee brought their transatlantic roasted alchemy to Europe, and the scene hasn’t looked back since. When Raven Records introduced Motörhead’s official Speedfreak Coffee to the UK during the band’s 50th anniversary celebrations, demand surged. The blend quickly found its way to major stages—featured at Download Festival—and helped ignite a broader European appetite for band-branded brews.

Metal heavyweights such as TestamentCannibal Corpse, and Type O Negative have all entered the caffeinated arena with their own signature roasts. Most recently, Ice Nine Kills served their “Sip To Be Scared” blend at their UK Silver Scream convention—hot on the heels of headlining Wembley.

What makes #metalcoffee more than novelty is the aesthetic. The packaging often rivals album artwork in intensity: brazen goats, horror-laced imagery, and designs that feel collectible rather than disposable. For metal fans, it’s ritual consumption: vinyl on the turntable, black coffee in hand.

For those unwilling to wait for the next festival fix, Raven Records offers both in-store pilgrimage and online access. Located at 24 Camden Road, NW1 9DP, it stands as proof that metal culture continues to evolve: loud, loyal, and now, highly caffeinated.
