Gothenburg’s masters of melodic darkness, Evergrey, have announced their fifteenth studio album, “Architects Of A New Weave“, set for release on June 5, 2026 via Napalm Records.
Arriving just days before the band join Iron Maiden as special guests on select dates of the Run For Your Lives World Tour, the new record promises a surge of cinematic heaviness and emotional intensity. Rather than sinking into despair, “Architects Of A New Weave” rises: fast, fierce, and unflinchingly honest.
Frontman Tom S. Englund describes the album as one of the band’s most cohesive and uncompromising efforts to date, noting that choosing singles proved unusually difficult: every track vying for attention. Highlights include “The World Is on Fire,” “Leaving The Emptiness,” “Heaven,” “The Prophecy,” and the expansive title track, each built on weighty riffs and soaring, emotionally charged choruses.
The album also features a guest appearance from fellow Gothenburg icon Mikael Stanne on “A Burning Flame,” uniting two distinctive voices from the Swedish metal scene. Produced by Tom S. Englund and Vikram Shankar, and mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood, the record balances muscular precision with atmospheric depth.
Various exclusive formats will include bonus tracks, instrumental versions, and a live cut of “Falling From The Sun,” continuing the narrative threads of the band’s recent releases.
Fifteen albums in, Evergrey show no signs of retreat. With “Architects Of A New Weave“, they step forward once more—scarred, seasoned, and sharper than ever.
