Swedish death metal torchbearers Xorsist have announced their third full-length album, “Aberrations“, set for release on April 24 via Hammerheart Records.

Marking their first release under the Hammerheart banner, “Aberrations” arrives with the debut single “An Elegy Unfolds“, now streaming across digital platforms. The band describe the track as a deliberate tone-setter—an invitation to descend deeper into shadowed terrain.

Hailing from Stockholm, the same city that gave rise to genre pillars like Entombed, Dismember, and Unleashed, Xorsist stand firmly within the old-school Swedish death metal tradition. Since their formation, they have balanced reverence for that legacy with a sharpened sense of their own identity. Their debut “Deadly Possession” (2022) and follow-up “At the Somber Steps of Serenity” (2023) established them as a rising force in the underground.

Founded by Gustav Ryderfelt and later solidified alongside Birk Castenmalm and Alphonse Bouquelon, the trio now step forward with what they describe as their most focused and defined statement yet. If previous releases honored the past, “Aberrations” promises to push further into darkness—carrying Stockholm’s death metal lineage into its next chapter.
