Today the black moon finally rises. Black Moon, the third album by Edenian, is now available on all digital platforms and on CD via Elevate Records.

The band from Kharkiv, Ukraine, founded in 2010, first appeared in 2012 with Winter Shades, followed in 2013 by Rise of the Nephilim and in 2014 by the EP Forgotten Once… Then ten years of silence — line-up changes, personal hardships, life pulling in unexpected directions. But the ideas never died: they fermented, grew, transformed.

Max Molodtsov and Valerie Chudentsova — the creative core of the band, already familiar to the Elevate Records roster through their work with Mistyfica (ER26062) — spent those years reworking original sketches, rewriting lyrics, re-recording vocal parts. The result is Black Moon: ten tracks spanning from hauntingly beautiful gothic melodies to crushing doom anthems, held together by a beauty & the beast vocal dynamic and a relentless rhythm section.

The lyrics draw from an unexpected source: adaptations from poetry by Charles Baudelaire, Thomas Hardy, William A. Cole, Swami Vivekananda, Christina Rossetti, Cathy E. Hodgson and Emma Theedom — lending the album a literary depth uncommon in the genre. Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Max Molodtsov at Eternal Studio. Artwork by Irene Domingues Marques (aka Namtaru), design by Vladesign.
