Spanish thrash metal heavyweights Angelus Apatrida have officially signed with Napalm Records, opening a new chapter in a career that has already spanned more than two decades.

Formed in 2000, the quartet have grown into one of Spain’s most prominent international metal exports, bringing their relentless take on thrash to stages including Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Graspop and Download Festival.

The band mark their new partnership with “Cycle Of Ruin,” their first single for Napalm Records. Driven by razor-sharp riffs, forceful vocals and heavy mid-tempo grooves, the track builds towards an explosive guitar solo and offers the first glimpse of what comes next.

“Cycle Of Ruin” will appear on the upcoming three-track EP The Reckoning, set for release on November 19, 2026. The EP also features “Burn It Down” and Angelus Apatrida’s furious reinterpretation of Sepultura’s “Propaganda,” which is already available digitally.

Speaking about joining Napalm Records, the band says:

“Now it’s time to turn the page! Napalm Records had been chasing us for years, and now the time has finally come. From day one, we felt their excitement, ambition and understanding of who ANGELUS APATRIDA is and where we want to go next. We’re still as hungry as ever, and it feels amazing to finally call Napalm Records our new home!”

The band also describes The Reckoning as the perfect introduction to this new era:

“And we’re not coming empty-handed! The Reckoning is our new three-track EP and the first release of this new chapter. Produced by the band, recorded by our homie Juanan López, and mixed and mastered once again by our longtime partner in crime Zeuss, it’s aggressive, heavy, uncompromising and exactly where we are right now.”

With a new label behind them and The Reckoning on the way, Angelus Apatrida are turning the page without softening the attack.
