Canadian heavy metal newcomers Ravenspell announce the release of their debut full-length album “Obsidian King“, arriving March 12 via Fighter Records.
Rooted firmly in classic heavy metal tradition, “Obsidian King” blends soaring melodies, sharp riffs and myth-driven storytelling into a cohesive, unflinching statement. Tracks like “God The Watcher” and “Onwards We March” establish the band’s intent early, while standout moments such as “Obsidian Wing,” “Raise Hell” and the epic closer “Atilla” showcase Ravenspell’s ability to balance power, atmosphere and memorable songwriting.
Mixed and mastered by David Lizotte (Ültra Raptör, Saccage), the album carries a raw, organic sound that reflects conviction over polish. The visual world of “Obsidian King” is completed by artwork from Canadian artist Carl Lavoie.
For fans of Iron Maiden, Cloven Hoof, Greyhawk and Visigoth, Ravenspell’s debut arrives as a confident first step — traditional heavy metal, forged with purpose and fire.
