Fast-rising Mongolian rock collective UUHAI have released their third single, “Secret History of the Mongols,”offering a final glimpse into their upcoming debut album Human Herds, out January 9, 2026 via Napalm Records.

Named after the oldest surviving literary work in the Mongolic language, dating back to the late 1220s, “Secret History of the Mongols” draws from the legacy and mythology surrounding Genghis Khan. The track blends traditional throat singing and horsehead fiddle textures with modern rock, pairing an emotional guitar solo with goosebump-inducing “uuhai” chants — an ancient battle cry for good fortune — to create an atmosphere that feels both reverent and forward-looking.

UUHAI describe the single as follows:

“This history is a sacred flame, consecrated by Father Heaven and Mother Earth. It is the undaunted gallop of ambition, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the everlasting scripture of the Mongol people.”

The single closes the journey into Human Herds, a debut album that reflects on Mongolia’s history, nature, and the tension between tradition and modern society — all performed entirely in Mongolian. The album arrives after the band’s early releases amassed millions of views, establishing UUHAI as a distinctive new voice on the international rock stage.

Coinciding with the album release, UUHAI will join Nanowar of Steel on a European tour, giving fans the chance to experience the band’s ritualistic chants and communal energy live.
