Kerava-based metal outfit I Revolt have emerged from recent upheavals renewed and refocused. After lineup changes paused the process of their long-planned debut album, the band chose not to patch things together—but to begin again. With a refreshed formation and the release of the “Remnants” EP, I Revolt now step toward a new chapter.

In previous years, the band climbed into the million-stream range and claimed victory at Emergenza Festival’s Finnish and Nordic competitions, also earning recognition at the Tuska Torstai contest. After a quieter period, they returned over the past year with a string of singles: raw, old-school metal delivered without backing tracks or studio gloss.

The renewed lineup features bassist Joonas Jaaksola and vocalist Toni Österlund, both already tested on stage. The EP’s latest single, “Cancel Erase“, confronts jealousy and the erosion of community spirit—questioning the impulse to tear others down rather than celebrate their hard-earned success. It’s a message grounded in lived experience, sharpened by conviction.
