Formed in 2022 in Spain’s Balearic IslandsSolNegre have quickly carved a space for themselves through unflinching emotional honesty. Their debut “The Spiral Labyrinth” (2023) earned strong praise, followed by the independently released EP “Annihilation Of The Self” (2024), both reinforcing the band’s commitment to confronting grief, doubt, and anxiety without disguise.

Now SolNegre return with their second full-length, “Anthems For The Grand Collapse“, set for release on April 3 via Meuse Music Records. Spanning five expansive tracks, the album descends deep into doom/death territory: melding grand, atmospheric composition with raw human vulnerability.

From the opening movement, “Anthems For The Grand Collapse” envelops the listener in shadow. Subtle bass textures, understated melodic lines, and striking vocal performances—most notably the luminous female passages on “In The Stillness Of The Womb”—create a vast emotional landscape. The poetry of the lyrics carries equal weight, delivered with intensity and clarity that lingers long after the final note fades.

Recorded once again at Diorama Sound in Mallorca—described by the band as their “shelter”—the album boasts an organic yet powerful production. The CD edition will include the “Annihilation Of The Self” EP, with evocative artwork by Hans Trasid completing the presentation.

With “Anthems For The Grand Collapse“, SolNegre deepen their descent into darkness—not for spectacle, but for truth. This is doom/death at its most sincere and resonant, a work that grips firmly and refuses to let go.
