Swedish heavy metal giants Sabaton have announced their return to Finland with a headline performance at Helsinki’s Veikkaus Arena on May 8, 2027. The concert will be part of the band’s upcoming The Legendary Tour Part 2, supporting their recently announced Legends album.

Since forming in Falun, Sweden, in 1999, Sabaton have become one of the most successful and recognizable metal bands in the world. Known for transforming real historical events into epic heavy metal anthems, the band has built a devoted international fanbase across eleven studio albums and countless sold-out tours.

Equally famous for their large-scale productions, pyrotechnics and battlefield-inspired stage shows, Sabaton last brought their live spectacle to Finland in spring 2023. Their upcoming Helsinki performance is expected to continue that tradition with another arena-sized production.

Beyond music, Sabaton have also become widely known for their dedication to history education. In 2019, the band launched the popular Sabaton History YouTube channel, exploring the historical events behind their songs. They later expanded their efforts through The War To End All Wars – The Movie, an animated film that became the centerpiece of the international History Rocks museum project, involving more than 140 museums worldwide. The initiative aimed to promote historical awareness and encourage people to engage with museums and historical education.

Opening the Helsinki concert will be The Legendary Orchestra, performing orchestral interpretations of Sabaton’s music and bringing a classical dimension to the band’s battle-hardened catalog.
