California groove metal veterans DevilDriver have released the title track from their upcoming album, Strike and Kill, arriving this Friday via Napalm Records.

Described as one of the album’s heaviest offerings, “Strike and Kill” showcases the band’s signature blend of groove metal, melodic death metal, thrash, and crushing slam-influenced riffs, delivering another taste of what promises to be one of their most aggressive records to date.

Speaking about the song, frontman Dez Fafara explained:

“‘Strike and Kill’ is a song about individuals that have to learn lessons the hard way. Sometimes in life, you need to learn things the hard way in order to make your next decision or next move properly. Beware the moves you make at midnight behind emotion and without any thought of consequence. For you will learn lessons, and they will be taught to you the hard way.“

The release continues the band’s momentum following the success of the album’s previous singles, both of which climbed the Metal Contraband charts and received heavy rotation on SXM Liquid Metal. With Strike and Kill, DevilDriver appear to be delivering the uncompromising brutality and intensity that have defined the band’s legacy for more than two decades.
