Lithuanian progressive metal band BLACK SPIKES have released “ZELVAR,” the latest single from their forthcoming album Ydos, set for release on August 28, 2026 via Napalm Records.

Featuring the album’s only English lyrics, “ZELVAR” explores the destructive nature of greed as part of Ydos‘ overarching concept centered on humanity’s vices. Blending explosive heaviness with a haunting atmosphere and a melodic chorus, the track offers another glimpse into the band’s ambitious new record.

Speaking about the song, BLACK SPIKES said:

“‘ZELVAR’ tells the story of the demon of greed as he steps into the human world, luring those driven by endless ambition into a trap where no amount of wealth, power, or status is ever enough. Greed leaves the soul imprisoned the moment you surrender to its temptation.”
