Finnish melodic death metal veterans Noumena have released “Tyhjyys” (“The Void”), the third single and music video from their upcoming album Maanääri, due for release this August.

Blending fragile melodies with crushing riffs, “Tyhjyys” explores themes of loneliness, loss, and the search for a connection in the face of overwhelming emptiness.

Guitarist Markus Hirvonen commented:

“It is a captivating and atmospheric piece about the search for a lost connection. The acoustic intro riff was born during a sleepless night when I let the feeling of emptiness and sorrow flow directly into the guitar. The whole song began to build around the phrase ‘Tyhjyydessä kaikuu taas’ (‘In the void, it echoes again’).”

Accompanied by a self-produced music video directed by guitarist Ville Lamminaho, “Tyhjyys” continues the visual narrative established with the band’s previous single, Surunkehrä, weaving together themes of longing, rage, and fading dreams.
