Finnish melodic metal band Garden of Stone have released “Obsession,” the second single from their upcoming sophomore album, For the World of the Obsolete, arriving December 11 via Inverse Records.

“Obsession” brings together the different corners of the band’s increasingly diverse sound, moving between groove-heavy riffs, heartfelt clean vocals and soaring guitar solos while introducing touches of black and progressive metal.

Formed in 2023, Garden of Stone combine heavy and death metal with melancholic rock, building their identity around brooding atmospheres, melody and uncompromising heaviness. After releasing their debut EP Tides of Decay in 2024 and first full-length The Grave Mistake in 2025, the band are already preparing for their next chapter.

Mixed and mastered by Joona Muistola at HAW Studios, “Obsession” offers another glimpse into the ten-track For the World of the Obsolete and a heavier, more adventurous side of Garden of Stone.
