Dutch heavy psych trio The Machine are preparing to release their eighth studio album, “Another Sun“, on October 2, 2026, via Awe Records / Stickman Records in Europe and Blues Funeral Recordings in North America and the UK.

Nearly two decades into their journey, David Eering, Chris Both and Klaas Dijkstra continue to move between stoner rock, heavy psychedelia and progressive space rock. On “Another Sun“, that combination takes shape across five expansive tracks, where heavy grooves and classic riff-driven songwriting leave plenty of space for the improvisational jams that have long been central to The Machine’s identity.

The album also marks an important first for the band. “Another Sun” is the first full-length to be recorded, mixed and mastered entirely at Evolver Studio in Dordrecht, a facility designed and built by guitarist and vocalist David Eering himself.

Taking inspiration from the recording philosophy of the late Steve Albini, much of the record was tracked live with the musicians playing together in the same room. The result aims to preserve the natural interaction between the trio, with roomy drums and thick guitar and bass tones giving the album an intentionally organic character.

The singles “Drop/See” and “Swallow the Sun” have already offered a glimpse into the record, with the latter stretching beyond eleven minutes and highlighting the band’s appetite for expansive, hypnotic songwriting.
