Hamburg-based modern metal outfit Lost in Hollywood have unveiled their emotionally charged new single “way too close,” featuring Nathaniel Pulley of Archers. Blending modern metalcore, alternative pop and electronic influences, the track explores the complicated emotions that arise when the desire for connection clashes with the fear of getting hurt again.
At its heart, “way too close” tells a story of emotional vulnerability following heartbreak. The song captures the internal struggle between wanting to let someone in and instinctively keeping them at a distance, transforming that conflict into a combination of delicate melodies, atmospheric electronic textures and crushing breakdowns.
Archers vocalist Nathaniel Pulley adds another emotional layer to the track, with his distinctive voice complementing Lost in Hollywood frontman Amon Garrasi. Having already shared stages across Europe earlier this year, the collaboration brings together two bands exploring the increasingly blurred boundaries between heavy music and alternative pop.
The single was co-produced with Timo Bonner of Our Mirage and Manuel Kohlert of Future Palace, while Max Ivory handled mixing and mastering. The result balances polished production and infectious melodies with the heavier elements that define Lost in Hollywood’s evolving sound.

With “way too close”, Lost in Hollywood continue to demonstrate that modern metalcore can be just as powerful in its quieter, more vulnerable moments as it is during its heaviest breakdowns. Sometimes, the hardest part of letting someone close is overcoming the fear of what might happen if they leave.
The band will return to the stage in Munich on November 14, 2026, before joining Our Mirage’s European headline tour in February and March 2027, followed by several summer festival appearances.
