Intergalactic power metal warriors Gloryhammer have unleashed their latest single, “Starfighters of Leuchars,”offering another spectacular glimpse into their upcoming fifth studio album, “Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath,” out October 16.

Known for their extravagant fantasy storytelling, cinematic arrangements and larger-than-life characters, Gloryhammer continue expanding their ever-growing universe with a track that introduces a new group of allies in the battle to save the cosmos.

In “Starfighters of Leuchars”, the heroic Angus McFife V receives assistance from a squadron of ace pilots, whose presence also features prominently on the album’s artwork. Combining soaring orchestration with the band’s signature power metal energy, the song brings another chapter of Gloryhammer’s elaborate science-fiction saga to life.

The single arrives alongside a lovingly animated music video, further immersing listeners in the band’s colourful universe of intergalactic warfare, heroic quests and fantastical adventures.

Never ones to take themselves too seriously, Gloryhammer introduce the track with a characteristically theatrical message:

“Mighty warriors! Set H-foils to attack position. You may Hoot when ready.”

The release of “Starfighters of Leuchars” builds anticipation for “Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath”, which promises another adventure through the band’s increasingly elaborate mythology, blending epic musical arrangements with the humour and storytelling that have become central to their identity.

The album’s release also coincides with the beginning of Gloryhammer’s European and UK tour on October 16. Starting in Toulouse, France, the band will travel across the continent before concluding their journey in Glasgow in November.

With a new album, animated adventures and an extensive tour ahead, Gloryhammer are preparing to take their intergalactic spectacle to another level.
