What happens when rock ’n’ roll attitude meets Finland’s love for chicken wings? At U’Know! – House of Wings in Vantaa, the answer comes in a rather unexpected shade of neon green.

Located in Kivistö, the rock-inspired restaurant has introduced its latest creation, Toxic-Wasabi, a striking new sauce that combines wasabi’s distinctive, nose-tingling heat with an appearance that is almost impossible to ignore.

Having opened earlier this year, U’Know! has already developed a menu featuring 17 original sauces, each with its own flavour profile and personality. The names alone reveal the restaurant’s musical influences, with options including Hard Rock Hallelujah!, Highway to Hell, On Repeat, Golden Hour and Abracadabra.

But the restaurant’s connection to the rock and metal world goes beyond its menu. Behind U’Know! is a team that includes people associated with Pyroman, the pyrotechnics company whose work includes productions for Nightwish, Lordi and the Eurovision Song Contest.

That same larger-than-life attitude is reflected in the restaurant’s newest creation.

“We want to create flavours that don’t get lost in the crowd. Toxic combines a striking appearance, the recognisable heat of wasabi and our own way of doing things. Wings should be more than just spicy – they need flavour and character,” explains the team responsible for U’Know!’s product development.

Unlike traditional chilli-based hot sauces, Toxic-Wasabi delivers the distinctive sharp sensation associated with wasabi, offering something different for those already familiar with conventional spicy wings.

Its vivid green colour also ensures that the dish makes an impression before the first bite.

For U’Know!, the philosophy is straightforward: flavour comes first, but individuality is essential.

And with a team connected to some of the biggest spectacles in Finnish rock and metal, it is perhaps no surprise that even chicken wings are getting their own theatrical treatment.
