Modern metal powerhouse In This Moment have unveiled their brand-new single, “Sleeping With The Enemy”, accompanied by a visually striking music video. The release marks the next chapter for the band and offers another glimpse into the sound and themes of their upcoming studio album.
Led by the unmistakable presence of Maria Brink, In This Moment have spent the last two decades carving out a unique place in modern heavy music. Blending theatrical visuals, emotional storytelling and crushing riffs, the band has amassed more than two billion streams worldwide, earned multiple gold and platinum certifications, secured three Top 25 albums on the Billboard 200 chart and received a Grammy nomination along the way.
“Sleeping With The Enemy” follows the previously released single “Heretic”, which featured genre-bending artist Kim Dracula. According to Brink, the new material explores some of the darker corners of the human experience.
“‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ and our upcoming album confront darkness—whether it exists within us or around us,” Brink explains. “It’s about looking that darkness in the eye and transforming it into strength. We’re incredibly excited and ready to show the world what we’ve created.”
Since forming in 2005, In This Moment have developed a fiercely loyal fanbase, with Brink often described as a maternal figure within the band’s community. Alongside founding guitarist Chris Howorth, the current lineup also features bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel and drummer Kent Diimmel.
