Finnish alternative metal rising stars LUNA KILLS are showing no signs of slowing down. Following the international success of their debut album DEATHMATCH, the band has returned with a brand-new single, “LOWER”, accompanied by a striking music video that perfectly captures the song’s emotional weight and atmosphere.

The release marks the first new material from the band since signing with SharpTone Records and continues their collaboration with acclaimed producer, mixer and mastering engineer Jeff Dunne, known for his work with acts such as Knocked Loose, Make Them Suffer and Disturbed.

With “LOWER”, LUNA KILLS dive into feelings of alienation, self-doubt and the struggle to find a place in a world filled with expectations.

“The lyrics deal with the feeling of not belonging anywhere,” the band explains. “It’s about the burden of not fitting into the expectations imposed by society, by other people, or even by yourself. It begins to make you question your own reality, and little by little it feels like you’re losing pieces of yourself and becoming someone you no longer recognize.”

Despite its heavy themes, the song balances darkness with resilience. The band describes a constant tension between self-acceptance and the crushing anxiety that questions every decision made along the way.

Musically, “LOWER” showcases the qualities that have helped LUNA KILLS quickly establish themselves as one of Finland’s most exciting modern metal exports. Combining alternative metal, electronic influences and emotionally charged songwriting, the band continues to carve out a sound that feels both contemporary and unmistakably their own.

The new single arrives just as LUNA KILLS prepare for one of the busiest periods of their career. After already making a name for themselves on stages across Europe, the band is set to embark on an extensive summer festival run before joining German alternative metal powerhouse Future Palace on a major European tour this autumn.

Their summer begins at Provinssi in Seinäjoki before taking them to some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including Wacken Open Air, Alcatraz Festival, Summer Breeze Open Air and Reload Festival.

Finnish fans will also have a unique opportunity to see the band perform a special set at On The Rocks in Helsinki on July 25, featuring material that has not yet been released.
