Australian gothic metal band Victoria K have released their new single, “Take It All,” offering another glimpse into their upcoming third studio album, The Pleasure of Sorrow.
Following the previously released “Oh So Weary,” the new track embraces a darker and more vulnerable atmosphere, exploring themes of loss, memory, and healing. Combining gothic metal with modern metalcore influences, electronic textures, and cinematic soundscapes, Victoria K continue to evolve their signature sound while maintaining the emotional intensity that defines their music.
Speaking about the song, vocalist Victoria K explains:
“The song discusses a moment in time when a piece of yourself is taken from you. It may have been a piece of your character, of your youth, but it was a moment where you lost something of yourself in a way that felt beyond your control.”
Written as an act of catharsis, Take It All reflects on the emotional aftermath of loss, allowing its haunting melodies, atmospheric arrangements, and powerful vocal performance to carry the story forward.
The single is the latest preview of The Pleasure of Sorrow, an album that promises to expand Victoria K’s gothic metal roots with darker atmospheres, heavier dynamics, and subtle electronic elements. More details about the record, including its release date, will be announced in the coming months.
