Death-doom newcomers Solystalgia have released their self-titled debut album via Nameless Grave Records, delivering a 37-minute journey through grief, loss, and inherited suffering.
Blending crushing death metal with haunting doom atmospheres, the album features powerful drumming from Austin Wheeler (Savage Oath) and guest vocals by Tanner Anderson (Obsequiae, Majesties, Crypt Sermon), whose contrasting vocal styles add further emotional depth to the record.

Produced and mixed by the band, with mastering by Arthur Rizk, Solystalgia balances massive riffs with expansive ambient textures. Wheeler describes the album as “a 37-minute riff-filled meditation on loss, unfathomable atrocity and the monumental weight of inheritance.”
The release has already received critical acclaim, with Invisible Oranges calling it “a triumph from all involved” and drawing comparisons to genre-defining albums such as The Mantle by Agalloch and Trisagion by Ethereal Shroud.
For fans of Hooded Menace, Dream Unending, Ahab, and Disembowelment, Solystalgia is a compelling debut that combines crushing heaviness with emotional depth, marking the band as a promising new name in modern death-doom.
