Swedish metal visionaries Avatar have announced a very special one-night-only performance celebrating the 10th anniversary of their acclaimed concept album Feathers & Flesh. The concert will take place on March 30, 2027, at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London.
Following the success of their latest studio album Don’t Go In The Forest, a summer spent touring Europe with Metallicaon the M72 World Tour, and their sold-out Don’t Go In The Forest 2025–2027 Headline Tour, the band are set to revisit one of the most defining moments of their career.
Reflecting on the significance of Feathers & Flesh, vocalist Johannes Eckerström said:
“Feathers & Flesh completely changed the way we work. Once you start seeing your work as a whole, there’s no going back. Every album we’ve made since has been different, but they all share one thing—we see them as paintings. They are complete works of art, each with its own clear purpose and identity.”
During the concert, Avatar will perform Feathers & Flesh in its entirety, accompanied by orchestral arrangements, dancers, a live choir, and the band’s signature theatrical storytelling.
Drummer and founding member John Alfredsson also reflected on the emotional impact the album continues to have on him:
“One part of me returns to another time and another life in Dresden… The other part wanders through a dreamlike forest that exists only in my mind. I ask myself: Did we really create this?“
General ticket sales begin on July 8 at 1:00 p.m. BST through the band’s official website, while a limited number of VIP packages and exclusive House Tickets are already available to members of Avatar Country.
