Swedish extreme metal pioneers Meshuggah have announced newly remastered anniversary editions of two of their most influential albums: Destroy Erase Improve: 30th Anniversary Edition and Catch Thirtythree: 20th Anniversary Edition. Both releases will arrive on July 24, 2026, via Reigning Phoenix Music.

Available on vinyl, CD digipak, and digital formats, the anniversary editions feature newly remastered audio while restoring the albums’ original artwork. The releases follow the limited Record Store Day editions issued earlier this year, which featured alternative cover art.

Originally released in 1995, Destroy Erase Improve is widely regarded as one of the defining metal albums of the decade, laying the groundwork for Meshuggah’s signature blend of complex rhythms, technical precision, and dissonant riffing that would go on to influence generations of progressive and extreme metal bands.

A decade later, the band pushed their creative boundaries even further with Catch Thirtythree, a continuous 47-minute conceptual composition divided into 13 movements. Built around hypnotic repetition, shifting polyrhythms, and crushing eight-string guitar work, the self-produced album remains one of the most ambitious releases in Meshuggah’s catalogue.

The anniversary editions celebrate two records that helped redefine the landscape of modern heavy music, giving longtime fans and new listeners the opportunity to experience these landmark albums with renewed clarity.

Both Destroy Erase Improve: 30th Anniversary Edition and Catch Thirtythree: 20th Anniversary Edition will be released on July 24, 2026.
