German power metal veterans Brainstorm have announced their new studio album, Nightfall, set for release in Spring 2027 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

Following the success of Plague Of Rats, the band’s upcoming album continues exploring themes inspired by Indian mythology, while promising a rawer and more dynamic sound that remains true to Brainstorm’s signature blend of powerful riffs, memorable hooks, and melodic heaviness.

Nightfall also marks the recording debut of bassist Danij Perl and drummer Kevin Lütolf, joining vocalist Andy B. Franck and guitarists Torsten Ihlenfeld and Milan Loncaric in the band’s current lineup.

Speaking about the new album, vocalist Andy B. Franck said:

Next year sees the release of our new album, Nightfall, which takes us even deeper into the realm of Indian mythology and more demonic realms. Nightfall brings you to a world of beauty and grace, but also of death and despair. I’m really keen to bring more of that raw, primal power back into the traditional sound. The result is going to blow your minds.

The album was mixed by Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann (Orden Ogan), with further details—including the first single and additional album information—to be revealed in the coming months.
