Detroit modern rock outfit Eva Under Fire have officially released their third studio album, Villainous, via Better Noise Music. Alongside the album, the band have also unveiled the official music video for the record’s latest focus track, “My Own Name.”
Across its 13 tracks, Villainous explores themes of resilience, self-discovery, and reclaiming one’s identity after hardship. The album continues the band’s signature blend of melodic hooks and deeply personal songwriting that has helped them build a rapidly growing international following.
Speaking about “My Own Name,” vocalist Amanda Lyberg describes the song as an anthem about overcoming personal struggles in an unfair and often unforgiving world.
The album follows a series of successful singles, including “Awakening,” “Murder Scene,” “The Words You Say,”and the title track “Villainous,” which features a guest appearance from Maria Brink of In This Moment.
To support the release, Eva Under Fire will soon embark on a major North American tour alongside Five Finger Death Punch and Cody Jinks, marking another significant milestone in the band’s rapidly rising career.
