French progressive metal innovators Hypno5e have announced their seventh studio album, Trame Noire, set for release on November 6, 2026 via Pelagic Records. Alongside the announcement, the band have shared the album’s first single, “Lost Fires,” accompanied by a cinematic music video.

Known for blending progressive metal, post-rock, avant-garde elements, and immersive storytelling into what they describe as cinematic metal, Hypno5e continue to push artistic boundaries with their latest offering. Trame Noire follows a protagonist confronting buried trauma over the course of a single night, inspired by the French concept of “dark infrastructure”—spaces designed to preserve natural darkness for nocturnal wildlife.

Speaking about the video for “Lost Fires,” the band said:

“The film explores territory as a living, mutable space where the visible and invisible continuously reshape one another. Rather than offering answers, it embraces disorientation, allowing the unknown to surface with the unsettling familiarity of something that was never truly lost.”

To mark more than two decades as a band, Hypno5e will also release a 13-LP complete discography box set, featuring Trame Noire alongside every previous studio album, including their 2007 debut Des Deux L’une Est L’autre, available on vinyl for the first time.
