Berlin metalcore outfit 4 Oceans have returned from a creative break with their new single “Lies in Your Eyes,” marking the beginning of a new chapter for the band and their rebuilt lineup.
Formed in 2020 as an independent DIY project, 4 Oceans have developed a sound combining crushing riffs, melodic passages, and modern production, while lyrically exploring mental health, personal struggles, and the complexities of human relationships.
Their latest track dives into the painful process of letting go after a breakup—that uneasy space where a relationship may be over, but the emotions surrounding it refuse to disappear quite as easily.
Musically, “Lies in Your Eyes” stays rooted in contemporary metalcore, balancing emotional melodies with heavy breakdowns before introducing an atmospheric electronic section carrying influences from techno. The track arrives alongside an official music video.
Following their self-produced debut EP First Wave, several collaborative singles, shows across Germany and Italy, and more than 160,000 Spotify streams, 4 Oceans are stepping back into the light.
