Finland-based synthwave metal project Magnetar have unveiled their new single “The Fading,” blending modern metal heaviness with cinematic electronics and an anthemic melodic edge.

Formed in Tampere in 2025 by producer and instrumentalist Panu Lehtoniemi alongside vocalist and lyricist Juha Tretjakov (Pressure Points, ex-Vansidian), Magnetar bring together crushing guitars, expansive synth layers, and emotionally charged vocals within a polished, retro-futuristic soundscape.

“The Fading” explores letting go, moving forward, and accepting that change is an unavoidable part of life. Beneath its heavy guitars and soaring chorus lies a reflective core, capturing the uneasy process of leaving something behind while choosing to keep moving.
