Alternative rock newcomer Brake has officially signed with Better Noise Music, introducing his next chapter with the release of the new single “swingin” and its accompanying music video.

Blending groovy alternative rock with pop, bluesy country, Motown influences and a distinctly 1970s-inspired aesthetic, Brake brings together the free-spirited attitude of a bygone era with the energy of the modern alternative scene.

The inspiration behind “swingin” comes from an experience at a swingers club in Las Vegas, but according to Brake, the song reaches beyond its provocative starting point.

“I wrote ‘swingin’ about my experience at a swingers club in Las Vegas. I wanted to make a song that captured the openness, body positivity, and freedom I experienced there. But this song isn’t just about sex—it’s really about acceptance and people feeling free to live openly as themselves without fear or insecurity.”

The signing places Brake alongside a heavyweight Better Noise Music roster that includes Five Finger Death Punch, The HU, Nothing More, Bad Wolves, Eva Under Fire, The Rasmus, In This Moment and Sabaton.

Brake will take his music on the road in the U.S. this August with a series of unconventional intimate shows, including backyard and pool-party performances through the PlayHouse concert platform.

The artist has also gained attention through his unexpected connection with actor and musician Russell Crowe, which began after Crowe publicly praised his music on TikTok. The pair have since collaborated in the studio and performed together at Crowe’s Indoor Garden Party in Sydney, while Brake has also become an artist ambassador for the Muff drinks brand founded by Crowe and Ed Sheeran.
