Symphonic metal giants KAMELOT have returned with their 14th studio album, Dark Asylum, released on August 28 via Napalm Records.

Set within the sinister Victorian world of RavenHill Asylum, the record takes listeners into a former cathedral where science, faith, and madness collide. Across its shadowy corridors, Dark Asylum explores fractured identity, control, psychological darkness, and ultimately transformation, wrapped in the cinematic grandeur that has defined KAMELOT for decades.

Produced once again by longtime collaborator Sascha Paeth, with mixing and mastering handled by Jacob Hansen, the album pushes deeper into theatrical territory while retaining the soaring melodies and powerful hooks at the heart of the band’s sound.

The record also features an impressive cast of guests, including Ignacia Fernández, Clémentine Delauney, Tobias Sammet, and Eluveitie violinist Lea-Sophie Fischer, adding further layers to its expansive world.

From the cinematic force of “Ashen World” to the introspection of “Sanctuary” and the mystery surrounding “Ivy, My Dear,” Dark Asylum unfolds less like a collection of individual songs and more like a journey into a carefully constructed psychological universe.

With the album now unleashed, KAMELOT are also preparing to bring RavenHill beyond the record as the Dark Asylum World Tour heads across North America and Europe this fall.
