Heavy psych/sludge duo GRIN have returned with their crushing new single “Liquefaction,” the second glimpse into their forthcoming full-length album Fuller, arriving January 29, 2027 via The Lasting Dose Records.

Built around a cold, commanding bassline and relentless rhythmic pulse, “Liquefaction” pushes GRIN beyond their familiar doom and psychedelic foundations. Colossal sludge weight collides with industrial textures and driving post-punk energy, bringing an eerie Killing Joke-like atmosphere into the duo’s already oppressive sonic world.

Despite operating as a two-piece, GRIN continue to create a remarkably massive sound. Here, however, sheer heaviness gives way to something equally unsettling: repetition, tension, and a hypnotic momentum that makes “Liquefaction” feel almost mechanical in its intensity.

The track also hints at the broader direction of Fuller, described as the band’s most cohesive and exploratory work yet, with GRIN expanding their doom and psych-rock roots into darker and increasingly rhythm-driven territory.

“Liquefaction” is available now on all major streaming platforms, while GRIN will spend the coming months bringing their new material to stages across Europe.
