Finnish melodic metal band Dreamferno have released their new single “Ark Of Engrams,” combining their progressive, heavy sound with an unexpected touch of breakbeat.

The electronic section was created with Helsinki-based DJ and producer Eronn (Veeti Eronen), who brings breaks-driven drums and psychedelic vocal effects into the track’s melodic metal framework.

Lyrically, “Ark Of Engrams” enters darker psychological territory. The song imagines Ouroboros as a living entity that feeds on painful memories, distorting time and identity as its passenger searches for a way out.

“Escape feels almost impossible. Yet somewhere in the distant, mist-shrouded horizon, the light of a lighthouse can be seen…”

With “Ark Of Engrams,” Dreamferno continue their rule-free approach to metal, finding an unlikely meeting point between progressive heaviness and underground electronic music.
