French groove death metal outfit SICKMIND are preparing to release their upcoming full-length album Babel Tower on October 9.

Formerly known as SILICIUM, the band have built their new identity around a dark and dystopian universe, exploring themes of collapse, desolation and a civilization approaching extinction.

Musically and conceptually, Babel Tower draws heavily from post-apocalyptic imagery, placing the listener inside a world pushed towards its breaking point. The album also features contributions from GOROD members Nicolas Alberny and Julien “Nutz” Deyres.

With Babel Tower, SICKMIND aren’t simply introducing a new album—they are establishing the bleak world surrounding their new chapter.
