Danish death doom force KONVENT have announced their third studio album, Firesky, arriving November 6, 2026 via Napalm Records, alongside its first single “Exorcise.”

Opening the five-track album, “Exorcise” begins in familiar territory with slow, crushing doom before transforming during its final section into something faster and more explosive. The shift offers an early glimpse into Firesky, which sees KONVENT expanding beyond their death doom foundations and experimenting more heavily with black metal influences.

Lyrically, the track responds to legislation around the world that the band describes as increasingly sexist and transphobic.

“‘Exorcise’ is the sound of the suffocation we feel after watching lawmakers around the world pass increasingly sexist and transphobic legislation,” KONVENT explain. “Legislation that will one day, like a snake, eat its own tail.”

Featuring only five but significantly longer compositions, Firesky promises a more expansive approach to KONVENT’s already imposing sound. With “Exorcise,” the band open the door to a record that appears ready to push their darkness into unfamiliar territory.
