DRAGONFORCE are entering a new chapter. The extreme power metal veterans have announced their tenth studio album, simply titled DragonForce, arriving March 19, 2027 via Napalm Records, with Alissa White-Gluz joining the band as their first frontwoman alongside vocalist Alessio Garavello.

The first glimpse into this new era comes with “Hunger of the Beast,” a relentless track built specifically around the contrasting vocal abilities of White-Gluz and Garavello. Rapid-fire guitars, driving drums and huge melodies meet the unmistakable guitar work of Herman Li and Sam Totman, offering an immediate introduction to the band’s new dynamic.

The self-titled record also sees DRAGONFORCE deliberately reconnecting with some of the raw speed and intensity of their earlier material while exploring what their expanded lineup can bring to that foundation. Songs including “Neverending Nightmare” and “The White Wolf” promise plenty of technical firepower, melodic power metal and the larger-than-life guitar work that has defined the band for nearly three decades.

“This is unlike any DRAGONFORCE album you’ve ever heard,” says Herman Li. “We make music because we want to make something that we love to hear and elevate our musicianship to the next level.”

For White-Gluz, the collaboration has provided an opportunity to combine two very different musical worlds. “I think this new combo of speed and ferocity is refreshing and exciting,” she says. “It’s going to be so much fun to perform live.”

Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren, DragonForce marks not only the band’s tenth album, but the beginning of a significantly different era—one that looks back towards their roots while introducing an entirely new vocal identity.
