French modern metal outfit Resolve have unleashed their powerful new single “Godtier,” offering another glimpse into their upcoming third studio album, “Spread My Ashes Into Space,” arriving January 15, 2027 via Arising Empire.

Ferocious yet atmospheric, “Godtier” pushes Resolve further into the ambitious sonic world of their forthcoming record, combining crushing heaviness, expansive arrangements and emotional intensity. While much of the album explores the desire to escape, the new single takes a different direction: willingly embracing the chaos, even when destruction seems inevitable.

Vocalist Anthony Diliberto explains that the song follows a character steering a spaceship directly into a dying sun. Beneath its science-fiction imagery, however, lies a deeply human story about obsession, passion and the consequences of pushing ourselves beyond our limits.

“It’s about chasing a thrill that you know is eventually going to break you.”

For Diliberto, the concept reflects both the physical and mental demands of being a musician and the universal experience of giving everything to something that matters, even when the eventual exhaustion is unavoidable.

“You know the crash that follows the euphoria is going to hurt. But there is an undeniable, almost addictive beauty in experiencing that level of intensity.”

Rather than treating that inevitable collapse as something to fear, “Godtier” explores the strange freedom of surrendering to it. The song’s explosive sound mirrors its central idea: the moment when passion becomes both the driving force and the thing that threatens to consume us.

With “Spread My Ashes Into Space” approaching, Resolve continue to build a world where cosmic imagery meets intensely personal struggles. And with “Godtier”, the message is clear: sometimes the brightest moments are the ones that burn us out.
