Finnish modern metal outfit Silence The Echo have released their latest single, “Broken,” exploring the emotional scars left by life’s most difficult experiences. The track follows their debut album, “Liberation,” released in January 2026, and the subsequent single “Stand Your Ground.”
Blending heartfelt melodies, electronic influences and crushing metalcore heaviness, “Broken” moves from vulnerable verses into an explosive chorus before unleashing an aggressive breakdown.
“At its core, the song revolves around a simple but powerful statement: ‘I’m broken,’” the band explain. “It describes how life experiences can leave us wounded, lost and disconnected from ourselves, whether through loss, broken relationships or our deepest personal struggles.”
The song also touches on the invisible battles people carry, from anxiety and grief to the longing for love, comfort and acceptance.
Formed in Lahti in 2022 by vocalist Katja Stefanovic and composer Jani Stefanovic (ex-Solution .45, Miseration), Silence The Echo expanded into a full band in 2024 with guitarist Teemu Rautiainen (ex-One Morning Left), drummer Nikke Karaksela and bassist Tommi Huuskonen.
The band are also preparing for a busy winter, including a four-date Finnish tour alongside Italian modern metal act Never Obey Again and Finnish metalcore outfit Balance Breach.
