The final piece has fallen into place. Helsinki’s heaviest summer gathering is now complete, as Swiss folk metal powerhouse Eluveitie joins the already formidable lineup of the 2026 edition of Hellsinki Metal Festival.
Sharp-eyed fans had already noticed a missing slot in Saturday’s schedule—and they were right to question it. That final opening on the second stage now belongs to Eluveitie, whose blend of folk melodies and melodic death metal continues to resonate across continents. Fresh off their Ànv album cycle and relentless touring, the eight-piece returns to Finland following their recent run with Arch Enemy.
But the festival isn’t just about sound—it’s about atmosphere. This year introduces something new to the ritual: a custom brew crafted with Fat Lizard Brewing Co.. The provocatively named Brutal Fu**ing Lager promises a crisp, aromatic companion to the distortion and dust of August.
