Swedish hard rockers Thundermother are ready for their next chapter. The band have announced their seventh studio album, “Mothers of Thunder”, arriving February 5, 2027 via Napalm Records, alongside its first single, “Bimbo Boost.”

Following years of international touring, shows with Scorpions and Judas Priest, appearances at festivals including Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze and Sweden Rock, and the release of their first live album, “Live’n’Alive”, in 2026, “Mothers of Thunder” marks Thundermother’s studio debut for Napalm Records.

The first taste comes with “Bimbo Boost”, a playful but pointed hard rock anthem addressing the different expectations placed on women when they step onto a stage. Built around a riff inspired by Deep Purple’s “Smoke On The Water” played backwards, the track takes aim at the pressure female musicians can face to maintain a carefully polished appearance alongside actually performing.

“It’s damn hard being a woman. We have to do our makeup, straighten our hair, reverse aging, and always look our best. It’s exhausting,” the band explains. “We wish we had a magic guitar booster pedal that instantly did all of that for us!”

True to Thundermother’s personality, the message arrives with plenty of humour rather than becoming overly serious, something reflected in the deliberately over-the-top accompanying music video.

Driven by dirty riffs, rock’n’roll attitude and the kind of energy built for the stage, “Mothers of Thunder” promises another unapologetic chapter for Thundermother—this time with the volume turned up and a few expectations turned upside down.
