Mongolian folk metal trailblazers The HU have released their highly anticipated third studio album, HUN, via Better Noise Music, marking the band’s most ambitious chapter to date. Alongside the album, the band have unveiled the official music video for “Horsemen,” inspired by the legendary Mongol warriors.

Explaining the track, the band said:

“‘Horsemen’ celebrates the spirit of the legendary Mongol warriors, known for their discipline, wisdom, courage, and unmatched strength. It is a reminder that true power comes from discipline, wisdom, and unity.”

The album’s title, HUN, means “human” in the band’s native language, reflecting a record built around universal human experiences. According to member Jaya, the band pushed their signature fusion of traditional Mongolian instruments and heavy metal further than ever before.

“On our third album, we experimented with many boundaries and different techniques to perfect the combination of our traditional instruments and heavy metal. We hope the songs inspire listeners to reflect on themselves.”

Fresh from sharing the stage with Iron Maiden in the UK, The HU are already looking ahead, preparing an entirely new live production designed for larger arenas while incorporating even more elements of Mongolian culture. The band also revealed that ideas for their next album are already taking shape.

HUN is available now digitally and on CD, with vinyl editions and a deluxe box set arriving on September 11.
