German folk-rock veterans SCHANDMAUL have unveiled “Zwei Raben,” the final single ahead of their new album Sternensegler, arriving this Friday. The record marks the beginning of a new era for the band, with Till Herence taking over vocal duties.

Serving as the album’s closing track, “Zwei Raben” sees SCHANDMAUL joined by FAUN’s Laura Fella for an intimate duet. Minimal instrumentation places the two voices at the heart of the song before it opens into an almost four-minute guitar solo, bringing Sternensegler to an expansive conclusion.
The track also carries a connection to the band’s past. An earlier version appeared on WETO’s 2011 album Schattenspieler, where Herence’s voice could already be heard on several songs.
“With this new version of ‘2 Raben,’ we’ve come full circle,” SCHANDMAUL explain. “With the wonderful Laura Fella from Faun joining us on vocals, this duet delivers goosebumps in the form of an epic folk-rock ballad.”
With eleven new tracks, Sternensegler opens a new chapter for SCHANDMAUL while keeping the melodies, storytelling and emotional character at the heart of their sound.
